Dear all,
Following on from Matty's request a couple of weeks ago, I am also nearing completion of the zooarchaeological database for the Regional Review of Southern Britain (Roman period) for English Heritage. If you have any bone reports which you feel suitable for inclusion in the database, feel free to send them to me within the next week. At this stage I am particularly interested in reports completed since 2009 (especially published). All contributions will be fully acknowledged and referenced.
Please make sure that the material being reported fits the following requirements:
The assemblage consists of 100+ NISP cattle, caprine or pig (unless 'unusual' features are represented i.e. ABGs).
The assemblage derives from the counties of Berkshire, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, East Sussex, Gloucestershire, Hampshire (inc. Isle of Wight), Kent, Oxfordshire, Somerset, Surrey, West Sussex or Wiltshire.
The assemblage is well dated to the 1st-5th centuries AD and, if from a transitional period, must at least cross the boundaries of AD43 and AD410.
Best wishes,
Martyn
