Dear colleagues
The University of Aberdeen is embarking on a major recruitment drive to enhance the faculty. As part of this strategy, the School of Geosciences is seeing strong investment, in recognition of its especially healthy financial state. The initial stage here is aimed at growing our geophysics capability. Consequently we are now advertising for:
Professor in Geophysics
2 lecturer/senior lectureships in geophysics.
Information (including all the new opportunities in the university) is posted at:

(scroll down to the College of Physical Sciences)
The idea is to build on our existing expertise. Geotectonics members will be aware that over the past 4 years or so we've built up a strong group in structural geology and tectonics, that enhances the school's traditional strengths in petroleum geology, sedimentology, stratigraphy and geofluids.
You can find out more about our activities at:

We welcome informal approaches. Please direct these through the chair of our search committee, Randell Stephenson.
