I had the exact same problem when the conference submitted itself to
http://www.interaction-design.org/calendar/
Last year we approved the conference and included it. We thought it
was rough around the edges but wanted to give it some publicity since
it seemed like a struggling and young conference. We all need a
helping hand some times. However, when it submitted itself to our
calendar this year, we didn't really see any improvement in ambitions
over last year's conference. So we declined to feature it.
