IT'S ALL IN THE HUMBLE SCATTER DIAGRAM !!
The important properties of GLM can all (nearly all?) be found within
a simple bivariate scattergram and line-fit. This much certainly
SHOULD be taught, in compulsory GCSE.
NB: The key concepts are not OLS, CIs or whatever, but simple the
notions of variation, curvature, outliers, language, and criteria of
fit.
