Hi
We, the staff, do not supervise them. We put in application for the
parents to do so. We keep their mobiles overnight. So far that has
worked well. Normally because it is a limited number, a colleague and I
do the invigilation.

We did the same last year when we had a group with the same number of
exam hours. The Boards were very helpful and advised us to claim
special con.
The issue with carrying an exam over to the next day is that you then
have to make arrangements to supervise them overnight which is a
logistical nightmare. Do you really want students dossing in your house
or a teacher's house overnight.....no way José

Subject: Over 6 hours of exams
Hi all
I just wondered what you do when you get students who have over 6 hours
of exams on one day? Do you feel obliged to offer them the chance to do
one the next day or do you timetable them all on the same day and see if
they query it?
The JCQ guidelines are vague and say that candidates may be able to sit
one exam the following morning but is this at our discretion? We have 15
students with 6 ¼ hours of exams on Friday 18th May, which means the
'next day' will be a Saturday!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
Sarah
