Hi,
I plan to develop my thesis or study project on a challenging subject. How
to make medical care more accessible to marginalized communities using open
source information and sustainable practices?
Is there any service design or human centered design research in health
care service design, especially in area of socio-economic and cross
cultural adaptability of new interface-based medical products for non
western cultures ?
Especially when its *non profit work* with limited resources and members,
one faces lot of challenges.
Sustainability issues could also be important to consider if its a device.
Considering the developing countries, how can Sustainable methods make such
products more efficient, affordable and also carriers of communication
about sustainability as a message?
My main query is:
I plan on relying on HCD(human centered design) toolkit + ideo method cards
as two options, to evaluate a user's mindset.
At the moment, for my case study, there are already task flows and the
scientific things, so its late stage service design.
1. Is relying on HCD(human centered design) toolkit + ideo method cards as
two options enough? For task flows testing , can one more or less rely on
paper prototyping?
2. Where can I order Ideo cards in Finland, to get it as soon as possible
(from internet it took 1 month)?
3. If one has the technology and task flows already(which means service
design comes at later and more more rigid stage of development), how does
one evaluate the pain points on prototype level? What are some of the best
practices in this field? What is a "good" team for observations >> doctor,
observer and mediator?
Any blogs, links or thesis works would be v valuable, in addition to Ideo.
Thanks!!!
Thank you much in advance for any feedback.
warm regards,
