Hi, Dori,
Thanks for your note, but you'll have to unsub yourself. JISCMAIL is set up with security systems that prevent others from adding you to a list or removing you. If you wish to leave the list, go to the list home page at
https://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/cgi-bin/webadmin?A0=phd-design
You should do this from your own computer, the one that you use when you send or get mailings from the list. If you try to unsub using a different computer or a different address to your subscriber address, that may be why you are having troubles. In this case, you must log into the JISCMAIL web site, using your user name, subscriber email address, and JISCMAIL password.
On the options bar, you will see a button at the left labeled "Subscribe or Unsubscribe."
Click that button and follow the instructions.
If you wish to remain on the list but you'd like all the emails once a day only, like a newsletter, you can also change your settings to Daily Digest format.
If old mails return to your inbox no matter how you delete them, the problem will be on your server, not with the list. JISCMAIL does not resend after you delete. You should ask your IT department to investigate the problem.
Best regards,
Ken
