Not an image of Remigius of Reims, but a very early part of his cult:
the Carolingian embroidery in my archive was, according to its
inscription, made by Alpheid at the request of Hincmar to honor
Remigius. Although now transferred to a later Byzantine silk, it was
probably made for the translation of relics in 852. It was originally
placed inside the saint's reliquary (on a cushion used to support his
head, again according to the inscription), and was found inside the
newer reliquary in 1795.
