medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
The 'archipresbyter' of Sulmona was a witness in the canonization process (1306) of Peter of the Morrone. He blithely tells the inquisitors that he went to Peter for a cure, and in so doing asked Peter to perform an incantation. Peter tells him he doesn't do that stuff, but he prays for the archpriest and cures him that way.
