medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Dear John,
Thank you for your advice! You have taught me about Procter and Wordsworth, vol. 3, so I will track this down. I have not checked against the Roman breviary; to be honest, I didn't think that would even be a starter, but you know about this way more than do I, so I shall check the Latin of the Sarum against the Roman first, and if they are fairly similar I can then peek at an English translation of the Roman Breviary.
I'll have to check the BL catalogue for the Renowned Church volume. (Great title!) Not in my university's library (why am I not surprised?) … I'll also check nearby Downside Abbey Library -- I have a hunch they'll have it.
Best wishes, George
