The Department of Theatre, Film and Television at the University of York is seeking to appoint a Chair in Interactive Media at full Professorial level. The Chair will be an outstanding individual with an international reputation in interactive media who can oversee developments in this field from September 2012. The successful candidate will need to provide academic leadership, taking responsibility for the launch of an exciting new BSc in Interactive Media, due to commence in October 2013, and recruiting a team of staff to further our research and teaching aspirations. The Chair will have an excellent record of research outputs, PhD supervision, the acquisition of research funding, management and administration, and will be thoroughly committed to the promotion of teaching and learning. While we invite applications from individuals working in any of the disciplinary fields that feed into interactive media, we are particularly keen to attract applicants with a close familiarity with developments in interactive digital technology and/or games design and development.
For further information and to apply on-line, please visit our website: http://www.york.ac.uk/jobs/. The closing date is 12th February 2012.
