you will probably see it and photograph it anyway, but there is a very nice
and unusual baptismal font (perhaps 1160s?) somewhere in Amiens cathedral
--lime(?)stone, about 6 feet long, 2 feet tall (on some kind of base, i forget
whether that was contemporary), with four sculpted figures on the corners,
belonging to the Mosan/"Early Gothic" stylistic sequence.
you already know about the spectacular late gothic oak choir stalls, i'm
sure.
