Dear Karel,
I am not familiar with this particular terminology but, as Robert Harland
has pointed out, the maquette or 'dummy' is an essential tool for
presenting a picture book concept to a publisher. Words are of little use
in this context and a fully designed rough version of the overall sequence
is the only way to convey the idea. Storyboards are generally used at the
development stage.
