Probably thats one of the reasons why I sometimes receive emails about
me with no PhD.
Believe me there are a few people who have done that kind of attacks.
I collect them.
I am not angry about them but I am just dismayed by the quality of
response from these people who
are supposed to be the top of the academic strata at college. Bear in
mind there are many who lead without a doctorate. A doctorate is an
accomplishment. But it is by no means a gateway to distinguish one the
right to write things to insult those who don't have a PhD.
I hope this is taken in in good candor. Because those who wrote that
are on this list. Of them, one comes from a top college somewhere up
north in the world. One came in through the email insulting. I wonder
why they could leave black and white for that kind of remark. I think
they never thought through before they write.
The image was bad and it formed a huge negative image on postgraduate
education altogether for me. Bearing in mind that I have always wanted
to do postgrad and teach because I love academica and learning. I
don't mind teaching and researching for the rest of my life. But when
you start to read this things I've read, you would start to question
and then ask if education has done its due.
Right, overtime for appointment. But I feel its time well spent.

Karen Fu
