Tracy
What are the boots made of? This is the most important single piece of
information that we need in order to start the process of investigation.
If the uppers are leather then it is most likely that the reaction is to the
chrome used in producing the leather. This is the most common type of
reaction to footwear, with dyes coming a close second. I would be very
surprised to find an allergic reaction to rubber as this is most uncommon
according to the data that I have. I doubt whether anaphylaxis is likely.
However, he should not continue to wear these boots if they are causing this
type of reaction.
Where in the country are you located. Give me a call if you feel it would
help to talk this through.
