medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Herewith a link to last year's "Saints of the day" for 17. December (including Modestus of Jerusalem; Judicaël; Begga; Sturmius; Christopher of Collesano; and John de Matha):

Further to Modestus of Jerusalem:
Orthodox and other eastern-rite churches celebrate Modestus on 16. December. Among other locations of relics believed to be his are the Vatopedi monastery on Mt. Athos (a portion of a skull) and the Sofia Seminary of St. John of Rila in Sofia. This very brief YouTube video has a couple of views of Modestus' putative relics at the latter site:

Modestus of Jerusalem as depicted in the later twelfth-century frescoes (1164) in the church of St. Panteleimon (Pantaleon) at Gorno Nerezi (Skopje municipality) in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia:

Modestus of Jerusalem (at far right) as depicted in the earlier fourteenth-century frescoes (betw. 1313 and 1318; conservation work in 1968) by the painters Michael Astrapas and Eutychios in the church of St. George at Staro Nagorièane in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia:
