Fixed Term Maternity Cover Appointment, initially for 6 months
The MRC Biostatistics Unit aims to advance medical science by the development of statistical methodology and collaboration in major research studies. It is one of Europe’s leading biostatistics research institutions and includes many internationally renowned statisticians.
The Unit is offering an opportunity for an individual with a good understanding of a research environment to support the Unit and its Director in the day to day management of internal and external aspects of its research activities.
You will need a degree or MSc in a quantitative scientific discipline and an interest in medical statistics together with excellent written and verbal communication skills, website experience, an ability to engage with the public in communicating science and experience of building strong working relationships.
Salary range £26,022 to £28,178 (depending on qualifications and experience), 30 days annual holiday entitlement and an optional final salary MRC pension scheme. Excellent sports and social facilities are also available on this no-smoking site.
