Dear Per, David, Nathan, Ken and colleagues
Thank you for bringing to my attention the work being done at CEPHAD, and by others. Because I was working to explore the implications of my Theory of Design Thinking I did not attempt to pursue existing work in the field. Rather I chose to reason directly from Daniel C. Dennett's ideas of Intentional Stance as applied to the modes of thought I had identified in my PhD dissertation and explored in subsequent years. I am not as interested in justifying my writings against other work as I am in formulating a coherent approach that can be pragmatically applied. I was both gratified and informed by this non-referential approach. I believe that the philosophical system that resulted can become a potentially significant contribution to the field that with further development can facilitate the organization, analysis, and application of different philosophical points of view regarding design and design thinking. I will be developing the thoughts in this paper further and will also address the moral, ethical, economic, and social implications of the theory. I am posting all of my current writings on academia.edu as a means to circulate the ideas and gain feedback about them.
I would welcome thoughts regarding the actual content of the paper and the proposal it contains.
Chuck

I'd appreciate your comments and references.
