Thanks for correcting my site link! You would think I would have that
down pat by now.
I drift from your argument about "crappy" style (an inherently negative
term, to judge by what my parents said when I was a child) simply to
make the larger point that less-than-stellar objects, folk art if you
will, are as much historical evidence as ivory book covers and engraved
sapphires.
