Marketing Excellence Event and AGM
There are still some places left for our Marketing Excellence Event.
Each year we invite a selection of lively speakers from a wide variety of backgrounds to share their wisdom and experience in marketing and publicity.
Friday 11th November 2011 - 11.00am - 4.30pm at Peters Bookselling Services, 120 Bromsgrove Street, Birmingham, B5 6RJ.

10.30 - 11.00: Registration and coffee
11.00 - 11.15: Welcome from Peters and the PPRG
11.15 - 12.00: Kate Hall, Leicestershire County Council Library Service: Words on the Street Best Practice Case Study for Leicestershire
Words on the Street is a successful 'real' campaign that is promoted in Leicestershire libraries and a positive income generation project. The case study includes looking at re-branding, limited budget, design expertise, data capture and evaluation.
12.00 - 12.30: Linda Smith, PPRG Chairman: Excellence in Marketing
Librarians and staff responsible for marketing library and information services have a wealth of knowledge and experience in promoting the value of their services. In harsh economic times it is vital that we share our experience. Linda will look at ways in which we can achieve this and reflect on the importance of the Marketing Excellence Awards as a means of doing so.
12.30 - 13.00: Presentation of PPRG Marketing Excellence Awards 2011
13.00 - 14.00: Lunch
14.00 - 15.00: A chance to hear presentations on their campaigns by some of the Marketing Excellence Award Winners. Details of the award winners can be found at: http://www.cilip.org.uk/get-involved/special-interest-groups/publicity/awards/pages/default.aspx At the event, you will hear from Katharine Widdows, from University of Warwick and Laura Wood / Nicola Richards, from Cardiff Libraries
15.00 - 15.30: PPRG AGM (tea and celebration cake will be served to all attendees)
15.30 - 16.15: James Barisic, CEO Social.haus: Love, Limelight and Libraries (abstract for this session will be placed on the PPRG website shortly)
16.15 - 16.30: Plenary and close
There will be an opportunity to visit Peters' showroom and their Kit Shop during the day.
