Dear List Members,
I am looking for recommendations of literature written about and/or by
refugees in English to use in an discussion group for refugee
practitioners in NYC.
I'm especially interested in short stories, poems, and excerpts from
longer works that offer insight into the challenges of resettlement in
the US, life in refugee camps, the limitations of international
protection mechanisms, relations between refugees and aid workers, or
the nuances of particular conflicts and migration patterns.
Please limit works to those written in (or translated into) English.
Please email recommendations to me at [log in to unmask]
Thank you very much,
Max Shmookler
