This event will focus on the role that pathology plays in the patient care pathway, as well as upcoming trends within diagnostics. How will services be delivered in upcoming years and what impact will this have on the longer term quality of care delivered by pathology professionals? The meeting will conclude with the premiere showing of the educational film “The Ultimate Goal;” a docu-drama showing the crucial role pathology brings to providing information that clinicians need to diagnose and treat patients. This film will then be distributed throughout hospitals and schools within the UK, as well as internationally, to educate others about the value of diagnostic tools, and to promote pathology as a career choice.
