Hello all,
I wanted to inform the list server that I recently made available free software for determining best-fit ellipsoids from sectional data. These programs also include a statistical analysis using a kernel density estimator. All of these program are written in Mathematica and do require that you own a version of Mathematica to run them.
You can download the program suite from my webpage:
http://www.sonoma.edu/users/m/mookerje/ProgramPage.htm
In addition to the strain analysis software, there is also programs for plotting stereonets/equal area projections, rose diagrams, Flinn Diagrams, Hsu Diagrams, interactive animations of 2d strain paths, Ternary Diagrams and determining sectional data from a given ellipsoid.
The reference for this work is:

using Mathematica. Journal of Structural Geology 33, 1467-1476.

I hope that some of you find this package useful.
Feel free to give me any comments or suggestions for future versions.
Take care,
Matty Mookerjee
