Review Opportunities - Coaching and Mentoring National Occupational Standards
The Coaching and Mentoring NOS are being reviewed to ensure they continue to provide UK wide agreed statements of the skills and knowledge required to deliver functions within coaching and mentoring. The review will result in a reviewed and, where appropriate revised, functional map for coaching and mentoring, as well as a revised suite of Coaching and Mentoring National Occupational Standards.
Working with employers, stakeholders and practitioners in each nation of the UK, UK Qualifications and Skills at LSIS are keen to seek your opinions on the Coaching and Mentoring National Occupational Standards to ensure that the revised NOS reflect best practice, and can therefore be used in the future to inform qualifications and provision for the coaching and mentoring sector.
Contributions can be made in one of three ways:
· By completing an online questionnaire
· By using a master set of documents to host your own discussion with colleagues or in your team (e.g. as part of another meeting)
· By participation in a review event (see link below for dates and venues)
These three ways are offered to try and supply appropriate ways to contribute to this work without incurring excessive costs.
Opportunities to get involved are open to all but we would especially like to invite involvement from:
· Those familiar with and/or who use the Coaching and Mentoring NOS
· Those with experience of developing or working with competencies relating to coaching and mentoring
· Those involved in the development, delivery or assessment of learning opportunities related to coaching and mentoring
· Those who have a strong understanding of the skills and knowledge required to practice coaching and mentoring.
