In Salvage, just east of the Dover fault in Bonavista Bay there are some
very nice exposures of mafic dikes intruding into Neoproterozoic rocks.
These rocks are mostly volcaniclastics and tuffaceous quartzites, but some
of the islands just offshore contain very nice pillow lavas as well. If
you are there next May for the GAC-MAC you can see them without any
problem.
