Tony,
Suggested workup of renin-producing tumor (adults):
Renin repeatedly increased (cave drug therapy) ?
Hypokalemia ? Secondary hyperaldosteronism ? Renal mass (ultrasound, MRT) ?
For localization do selective renal vein sampling (renin analysis) ?
Plan surgery ...
Do not know if it would work in a 6 yr old boy ...
Best regards,
Mike

Betreff: Reninoma
Hello,
I have been contacted by our paediatric renal team about suitable investigations for a 6 year old child with significant hypertension and a suspected "reninoma". Does anyone have any recent experiences or advice to share?
Many thanks for your help.
Tony
