medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Christopher,
I might have mentioned that celebration of the translation of St Lubin
on 16 Sept. in the Chartrain ordinal was shared by the celebration of
the feast of St Euphemia. As to why his translation was celebrated on
the 16th rather than the 15th, he may have gotten "bumped", since the
Octave of the Virgin's Nativity was celebrated on the 15th, along with
the commemoration of St Nicomedes.
Cheers,
Jim
