Dear all
One way in which we in PenTAG are endeavouring to develop (and expand) realist review methods is through a PhD studentship (The effectiveness and cost effectiveness of shared care for chronic disease: applying and evaluating realist methods of evidence synthesis - see: http://www.pcmd.ac.uk/jobs.php?id=449). The studentship offers a stipend of £13,590 and payment of tuition fees at home rate. Please follow the link for more details on the proposed project.
Could you please circulate to those who you think may be interested (Master's students, Master's course leaders, colleagues)? Our experience is that it is quite difficult to make these sorts of PhD studentships attractive to applicants, who tend to have a topic/disciplinary focus rather than the broader remit of a realist approach - so any assistance you can give us, or tips on attracting promising applicants, would be much appreciated!
Thanks
Mark
