Thanks for the answers.
It seems there are subscriptions to BSOL active at City & Business Library (where I may verify in the next few days), Essex and Hertfordshire libraries - besides the Universities listed at http://copac.ac.uk (searching the words British Standards electronic in the title field). Conversely no news from the British Library where even the reference librarians, at this stage, "do not know when the negotiations will end".
Needless to add, I think, these are days in which a copyright assurance function should update policies for licensing important databases and work collaboratively with suppliers of primary sources on a daily base to prevent such disruption of services.
