medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Dear Rachel,
I have just written a fairly long piece on much of this territory for a collection entitled /The Devil in Society in Premodern Europe/. This should be out by the end of the year--a little late for your purposes, I would imagine (!)
I would second the suggestions made here, but add Forsyth's /The Old Enemy/ which is excellent, and Kelly's /Satan: a Biography/ which certainly covers the terrain you're surveying.
Best,
Richard Raiswell

In addition to the "Book of Watchers," you might also want to take a look at
some of the Old Testament Pseudepigrapha. Particularly, Jubilees 4.16-5.19
(2.26-65 in the Charlesworth edn) and the Testament of Reuben (1.782-785).
