Hello everyone,
I was digging through the zooarch archives to find all relevant questions on the rabbit/hare distinction and I would like to ask you whether any of you has the following paper, and willing to share:
Callou, C. 1997. Diagnose Differentielle des principaux. Elements squelettiques du Lapin (Genre Oryctolagus) et du LiƩve (Genre Lepus) en Europe Occidentale. Paris. CNRS.
Also, can rabbits and hares be distinguished biometrically? Any references or ideas on how to do that?
I need this information for the study of a medieval assemblage from Cyprus. The good thing about this is that I only have one species of hare (Lepus europeus) to distinguish from the rabbit.
I might be asking too much but is there any study/information focusing on the spread of rabbits to the eastern Mediterranean?
Thank you and I hope you are having a good weekend,
Angelos Hadjikoumis
