Craft Research Journal, Volume 2
We are delighted to announce that the second volume of Craft Research
(CRRE) is now available.
The journal publishes articles, papers, reports and reviews to promote and
report on current and emerging craft research. Making this knowledge, in
whatever form, available to the community will help build and advance craft,
and present it - in all its diversity - as a strong and essential force that
cannot be overlooked.
Contents of Craft Research Volume 2 include:
* 'Beyond control: Rethinking industry and craft dynamics' by Martin
Woolley
* 'Crafting narratives: Using historical context as a reflective tool' by
Maarit Makela and Riikka Latva-Sompii
* 'Digitally printed textiles: A number of specific issues surrounding
research' by Susan Carden
* 'Feeling good' (Position Paper) by Robert Pulley
* 'Craft in economic context: The representation of Finnish craft in the
economic press' (Report) by Toni Ryynanen
* 'Digital embroidery and expression: A review of Closely Held Secrets'
The journal also includes autobiographical reviews, exhibition, book and
conference reviews, a 'Remarkable Image' section, and a Calendar of Events.
