Design Advanced Research Training (DART) 2011 comprises a workshop on communication skills for doctoral students which was held in June. This is followed by a simulated training conference complete with all the usual conference things such as badges, networking opportunities, and a real keynote speaker. It is a conference where the doctoral students - who have been selected via a competitive peer review process - present their work in progress to an audience of fellow students and an expert panel of supervisors who offer feedback in a supportive atmosphere.
We'd like to extend an invitation to any doctoral student who wishes to attend for the day as a member of the audience. The venue is the Birmingham Institute of Art and Design, UK. The conference is free of charge, but it is necessary to book a place on a first come first served basis.
Details of the conference are on the DART website:

If you plan to attend, please register for a place at the conference:

We look forward to meeting you at the conference!
