medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Dear Genevra,
Thanks for the offer! There are several TERRIFIC museums, with huge medieval altarpieces, in Budapest, where they happily grant you a photography license for a small fee as long as you do not use flash. My problem was that it was my first digital camera and I didn't have the hang of it yet. I realize your site concentrates mostly
on small stuff (boy do I wish I could afford some of that jewelry!) but I and many others would be grateful if you would
spend an afternoon photographing (and recording properly) the beautiful altarpieces. The museum was at the top of a hill, there was another museum with many more elsewhere in town (within walking distance, though) but that may have been
a special exhibition. Why are you going? Another client, or is there a conference or the like going on?
Meg

Meg, I will be in Budapest again next January. If you send me the
details of your Margarets, I will see what I can do.
And for anyone who has problems sending large images: If you have any
version of PhotoShop, you can open your photo in that, then go to
Image>Image size. If you change either the Width or Height figure to
something smaller (and OK the change), you will get a smaller image with
the proportions unchanged. Save as a JPG, and voila! something you can send.
Best,
Genevra
