I have examined many human bones painted with ochre, both unburied and
once buried.
Your equid bone does not ring a bell with me.
The shininess make me wonder whether the feature reflects good survival
of collagen.
It would be useful if you could post a photo of another bone that does
not show the feature you illustrate.
