Aalto University School of Art and Design is looking for
POST DOCTORAL RESEARCHERS (6 POSITIONS)
for a 2-year-period starting on September 1st 2011 or as agreed.
The fields of research are:
1. Sustainable design
2. Design and culture
3. Art education
4. Visual culture
5. Graphic design
6. Film studies
The purpose of postdoctoral research is to support and strengthen research at Aalto University School of Art and Design. The above fields of research are selected based of the current emphasis of research in the different departments and the aim is to strengthen the existing research groups. Postdoctoral researcher’s duties include research and teaching related to their research field. Additionally postdoctoral researchers can also be assigned other teaching and research tasks.
An expeditiously and successfully gained doctoral degree can be considered an advantage. Applicants’ research potential and merits will be given particular emphasis during the selection process.
Application materials should include an application letter, a curriculum vitae (including a list of publications), a research plan made for the 2-year period and a certificate of a Doctoral Degree. Applicants may also include other disquisitions in order to demonstrate his/her proficiency and capability as a post doc researcher.
The salary is determined based on experience and qualifications according to the salary system of Aalto University.
