Sarah,
The textbook search only working in dollars is a long standing bug.
Throw in another ticket - it never does any harm!
You might also want to show them the VTBE mashups with options for
creative commons restricted search for flickr content, etc. Harmless
enough if they aren't fans of meta data and decent content control!
Malcolm :-)

Subject: librarians and bb 9.1
Hi there
I've given myself far too much work at the moment so need to cheat as much
as possible. I'm training librarians shortly on using the new version of
Blackboard and am planning on showing them how to....
1. Search for a textbook
2. Do a manual search
I'd also like to show them the Amazon carousel widget and see if they
think it'd be of any use.
From this, I've got a few questions.
1. Is there anything else I should be showing them that could be useful
with reference to learning resources.
2. When I search for a textbook using ISBN number, it only comes up with
results if I select US$. If I go for £sterling, it comes back with
nothing. Has anyone else found this.
cheers
sarah
