Dear all,
I would like to know which funding schemes are available to top up the
difference between fees for europeans in UK universities and fees for
non-europeans. In my university this difference is ~10k£/year and I have
not found a way to cover this gap an allow non-europeans to apply for my
projects.
Best regards,
Marta

However for these two the rate of fees is for home students only and an overseas student would need to find alternative sources for funding for the rest of the fees. Funding schemes are available to top up the fees for outstanding overseas students. This goes for almost all PhDs advertised in the UK, and is probably true for other countries too (?). So don't let the small print get in the way of enquiring about a project - there may be ways of getting the funding topped up. Interested candidates should contact the potential supervisor as early as possible to maximise their chances of getting full funding.
