Call for international design workshop participation

DESIGN GYMNASTICS @ Berlin 2011
to explore the new sensorial approach to design; the science of living
One-day special WORKSHOP directed by Masayo Ave, a Japanese designer
and the founder of Haptic interface design institute, will be held twice during
DMY Berlin design festival 2011 for International design experimenters and
researchers from the wide fields related to the science of living, in which
include architects, designers, artists,engineers, scientists as well as design
journalists.
DESIGN GYMNASTICS is one of the fundamental sensorial exercise developed
by Masayo Ave, which discipline the faculties of discovery and of imagination.
The workshop to experience the sensorial exercise is performed in Tiergarten;
the unique forest garden in the middle of Berlin city. The garden and the cafes in
the historical modern architecture hidden in the city forest will be the open class
room for the workshop.
Learning and doing DESIGN GYMNASTICS in a small group of max.12 participants
under the direction of Masayo Ave, the participants are encouraged to investigate
basic truths and potentials of the new science of living. It is an unique occasion to
satisfy the participants’ sensorial curiosity and stimulate it further. sharing the
sensorial experiences with the other international participants with a variety of back-
grounds.
