The department of geology at Appalachian State University, located in
Blue Ridge Mountains of Boone, NC (USA), is currently seeking applicants
for three faculty positions.
FACULTY REPLACEMENT (Structural Geology)
The Department of Geology at Appalachian State University, Boone, North
Carolina, invites applications for a one-year faculty position in
structural geology beginning August 2011. The successful candidates will
have a MS or PhD at the time of appointment, and must possess a strong
commitment to undergraduate education. Teaching assignments will include
a course in structural geology and labs plus other introductory courses
and/or labs. Review of completed applications will begin May 30 and will
continue until the position is filled. This position may potentially
become a permanent tenure-track position during the fall of 2013.
FACULTY POSITIONS (2)
The Department of Geology at Appalachian State University, Boone, North
Carolina, invites applications for two one-year faculty positions
beginning August 2011. For the first position we seek a geoscientist to
teach lectures and labs in Introduction to Environmental and Applied
Geology. For the second position we seek a geoscientist to teach
lectures and labs in Introduction to Historical Geology. The successful
candidates will have a MS or PhD at the time of appointment, and must
possess a strong commitment to undergraduate education. There is a
possibility of the positions being extended through the following
academic year. Review of completed applications will begin May 10 and
will continue until the positions are filled.
