medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Yesterday's Oxford DNB Life of the Day was Arthur Sherbo's biography of
Thomas Rymer (1642/3-1713), literary critic and historian. Those of us who
have struggled with his multi-volume Foedera, will be interested in knowing
more of the life. I think it is worth reading for his three-line summing up
of the moral of Othello.
