There is indeed - we can pick up nicotine (occasionally), cotinine and a
few other metabolites.

Patrick,
It's urine cotinine you want; nicotinine has a T1/2 of c.30 minutes,
while it's about 24 hours for cotinine. I suspect there are even people
in St. Thomas's who run the assay.
