On March 4 & 5 we held our very successful annual meeting at Berne University in the Arts (CH) with 80 participants, vivid discussions, elections and an introduction to the Research Catalogue. With the publication of our inaugural issue 0 our main task for year 1 has been achieved. We are now looking forward to improving the quality and sustainability of our work on all levels. Please help us artistically, intellectually, financially - become a member and get involved in the different activities!

1. Election of the Executive Board
For the period 2011-13 the following Executive Board has been appointed:

We welcome the new board members and send an extra great thank you for their past work on the Executive Board to: Darla Crispin, Stephen Scrivener, Sofie van Loo, George Petelin and Jan Kaila.

3. Annual SAR Report
The report of SAR's activity in the first year is in preparation and will be distributed to SAR members within the next four weeks.
4. Michael Schwab as Editor-in-Chief
The new Executive Board appointed Michael Schwab as Editor-in-Chief of JAR.
5. Editorial Work
If you are interested in working on the Editorial Board, becoming an Associate Editor, acting as Referee or if you want to work on one of our new Working Groups, please complete the Expression of Interest form, which can be downloaded here<http://www.jar-online.net/app/webroot/uploads/JAR%20Expressions%20of%20Interest.doc>. The completed form has to be submitted to Michael Schwab March 31, 2011 latest.
6. Research Catalogue Launch
The Research Catalogue, the software through which submissions to JAR will have to be made, will be launched on March 21. We very much welcome account applications and exposition submissions from that date. Additional information will be provided in a separate email on launch day.
7. Call for Book Chapter Proposals
Michael Schwab and Henk Borgdorff are the editors of 'Artistic Research Expositions' to be published by Leiden University Press in 2012. They invite proposals for book chapters before April 30, 2011.
