Apologies for cross-posting. Can I please draw your attention to the following fully funded PhD opportunity at De Montfort University.
PhD Studentship
A History of Feminism on Television
Media, Film and Journalism De Montfort University, Leicester
STARTING OCTOBER 2011
A PhD research studentship in the Cinema and Television History Research Centre and in conjunction with the Media Discourse Group, which both have reputations for ‘world-leading’ research.
The project will investigate the emergence of discourses of feminism on British television within a critical period of social change during the second half of the twentieth century. It will involve conducting archival research and working closely with a broader AHRC funded project, ‘A History of Television for Women’, to trace and analyse the coverage of ‘feminism’ within factual programming and in the context of British public service broadcasting.
