Dear Colleague
The BFI’s Town Hall meeting to discuss the BFI’s evolving relationship with Higher Education in relation to research has now been rescheduled for 23 May 2011. The meeting will take place between 11am and 4pm at the BFI Southbank, London.
Our primary objective for the day is to provide an overview to the academic community of our cultural planning over the next ten years. The BFI has begun to identify a programme of work which it wishes to undertake and is looking to partner with academics to realise the research for these projects. It is expected that these projects will then be delivered across a series of BFI platforms.
At the meeting there will also be presentations on the diversity and richness of the BFI’s Collections, and the opportunity to hear about the BFI’s new role as the strategic agency for film. We hope both presentations will inspire other avenues of research. The detailed programme for the day will be published at the end of the month.
If you wish to attend it will be necessary to register by emailing [log in to unmask]
Apologies for any cross posting.
Best regards,
Richard Paterson
