We are doing some invigilator training with our very diverse group of
invigilators (some have done it for years and others are brand new) in
preparation for the summer.
Is anyone prepared to share their experiences about where things have
gone unexpectedly in an examination or something where students have
been especially devious (I am already indebted to Elaine at Yeovil for
the case of the "invisible ink").
To give you an example, we had a highly educated invigilator who
didn't
realise that the candidates sitting an examination did not know what
an
erratum was. Fortunately, it all turned out well.
If anyone has any advice on what went well during an invigilation
session, I would also welcome these ideas. I am thankful to Julie
Griffin at West Herts for her suggestion previously in this forum. We
have the QCDA stuff, and the 2005 training pack, and I will contact
our
ever-so-helpful QCDA Support next.
Thank you in anticipation of your replies.
