At the Reading Agency we are developing a range of exciting plans for national digital content. These range from a new Reading Groups for Everyone programme, working with the Society of Chief Librarians , to an emerging digital strategy with our 40 publisher partners to take libraries ‘ reader development work online more powerfully. We’re holding a digital think tank in March, sponsored by Bloomsbury and OverDrive and are about to do a library survey to feed into this..
We’ve long held an ambition for a national library website which could combine a national catalogue with our powerful national initiatives like the Summer Reading Challenge and partnerships like the BBC. We’re looking out for an interesting announcement this week that will be a great step forward.
