The Centre for Research in Film and Audiovisual Cultures will be
welcoming Oscar-nominated composer Michael Nyman to present NYman with
a Movie Camera, a documentary made by the composer both reworking
personal footage of the director's own life, and in homage to Dziga
Vertov (Man with a Movie Camera).
Nyman, who is Honorary Visiting Professor at Roehampton, will be on
hand to introduce the film, as will editor and visual artist Max Pugh.
The screening takes place on Wednesday 9 February 2011, at 7pm, in the
Chapman Hall in Southlands College, Roehampton University, London SW15
5SL
The screening will be followed by a reception, but places are limited,
