Apologies for cross-posting

Hi all,
I'm preparing a class on theories of suspense and am still looking for literature on the subject. As you can see from my subject header, I'm also interested in the aspects of curiosity (as in mysteries) and surprise (as e.g. in horror films). Regarding the selection of films, Hitchcock and thrillers will obviously feature prominently, but I would also like to include other genres, including comedy. I'm extremely grateful for all suggestions, including texts from classical film theory.
Thanks for your help!
Henry
