Dear All,
I have posted on Bonecommon at
http://alexandriaarchive.org/bonecommons/items/show/1713 a picture of a scapula
with an oddly formed spine. The height of its mid section is reduced almost to
the level of the blade.
Does this appear to be a deformity or a healed wound/break? There is not much
bone overgrowth in the area which might be expected in the case of the latter.
However, the scapula is from a young animal, one of the oldest of about 10 RB
dogs varying in age from neonate to under 1 year, found in 1976 in a shaft at
Hatch Furlong, Ewell.
Many thanks for any help.
